I am a huge supporter of cruelty free products and companies. And The Beagle Freedom Project is who inspired me to start my journey- with their free "Cruelty Cutter" app. This app makes shopping for cruelty free products fun and easy. The Beagle Freedom Project also rescues animals that are subjected to cruel and unnecessary testing. They have many awesome rescue videos I totally recommend watching! I adore Furbabies Rescue and Referral because they gave me such a great gift- my newly adopted pup Comet! Furbabies is not your typical rescue group- all dogs are kept in foster homes- not a shelter or kennel! They are an amazing network of foster homes and beautiful loving pups up for adoption. Please check our their Facebook page below and give them a "Like"! Click Here To Visit Furbabies Rescue and Referral Facebook Page
ASPCA
The ASPCA will always hold a special place in my heart. I love being a monthly supporting member, because when I needed help, the ASPCA was there for me. My dog had become very ill, and the ASPCA helped me- when as a college student, I had no idea how I could pay for his necessary surgery. As I grew older, I became committed to volunteering with the ASPCA, and even went on to raise $1000 for them as part of a member of Team ASPCA for the Five Borough Bike Tour. The ASPCA also has a wonderful mobile spay and neuter clinic that serves low income neighborhoods all over NYC. I can't sing their praises enough. Please check out their website and consider making a donation or volunteering your time!
This awesome organization was started by Chris Tarbassian. He wanted to send some comics to his friend in the Air Force who was a flight nurse, so that the comics could be passed out to wounded soldiers. His idea has since grown and he is now sending comics directly to hundreds of soldiers. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Tarbassian at Granite Con and I am inspired at how hard he works for so many soldiers. The thing this organization needs help with the most is fundraising for stamps. Comic books now pour in easily, but the USPS won't talk with him about discounted rates. So please check out the website and consider making a donation to help with stamps! Click here to visit the Operation Comix Relief Website Click here to make a donation to help with stamps!
Pin Ups For Pitbulls
No being on this planet should be discriminated against. And Pin Ups For Pitbulls seeks to raise awareness about BSL, or "Breed Specific Laws". Did you know there are some areas in the US that ban pit bulls? This is so silly to me, and I'm happy to have found Pin Ups For Pitbulls. To help spread the word, they also have their famous pin up calendar showcasing gorgeous pin ups with adorable pit bulls. Please check out their website and consider making a donation!
